This handbook is a part of the project «Ecotourism Development in Northeast Asia: GTI Seminar on Ecotourism Promotion and a Handbook on NEA Ecotourism Routes» (2023 – 2024) coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Timely and practical, the handbook serves as a key reference for tourism community, offering insights on ecotourism destinations across Russia, China, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia.

It unpacks the opportunities for travels and tourism cooperation by presenting 46 best-case examples, along with forward-looking recommendations for ecotourism development. The handbook is aimed to offer a useful tool to search for perspective partnerships and new places worth visiting to a broad range of stakeholders including tourism authorities, tour operators and travelers.
