China, Russia, South Korea land-sea transport line partially completed (2011/06/13)

The Yonghe vessel carrying 10 containers arrived in the South Korea's Busan port from China's Hunchun port in Jilin Province, marking the completion of the first sailing trip on the land-sea transport route among China, Russia and South Korea.

The Yonghe container vessel set sail again from the Russia's Zalubinau port on June 8, local time, after it finished the first part of the voyage from Hunchun town of China.

The full transport line, with a length of about 450 nautical miles, takes more than 40 hours for the whole journey. After the opening of the line, the freighter will make the trip back and forth once a week.

The Busan port, as an important international entry port, links many shipping voyages from Europe and Japan. Hence, the opening of the Hunchun-Busan transport line will bring more convenience to the economic and trade exchanges between the northeast Asia and other regions in the world.
