4th GTI National Coordinators Meeting and 6th Meeting of Post-Inauguration of NEA EXIM Banks Association Working-Level Meeting takes place in Vladivostok

The 4th GTI National Coordinators (NC) Meeting and 6th Meeting of Post-Inauguration of NEA EXIM Banks Association Working-Level Meeting successfully took place in Vladivostok, Russia, on 29 November 2016. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Denis Ulin, National Coordinator of the Russian Federation, together with Ms. Wang Weina, Acting Director of the GTI Secretariat. National coordinators from member states, delegates from line ministries and research institutions, and legal advisor participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, participants continued the discussion on the Project Office (PO) proposal presented by the Russian side. As affirmed by Russia, all remarks from member states will be considered and reflected in the further revised version.
The first joint session between National Coordinators and the EXIM Banks Association was organized during the meeting. NCs heard the presentation on Specialized Grain Terminal in Zarubino Port and stressed its strategic importance in multilateral cooperation, and received practical recommendations from EXIM-Bank members on the development of PO.
Participants also reviewed the GTI progress report on the key priority sectors, affiliated bodies, and partnership development since the last NC meeting in September, and the 2017 event agenda. NCs recognized the tangible outcome in terms of project implementation and extended partnership, and suggested to maintain better coordination among Sectoral Boards, Local Cooperation Committee, and EXIM Banks Association.
Member states further discussed the pending issues on the Constitutive Agreement, and agreed to continue their internal consultations and meet again in March 2017.
Member states also decided to hold the 17th GTI CC Meeting in April 2017.
