The Ministry of Commerce of China, Jilin Provincial government of China, and GTI Secretariat co-organized the GTI Policy Dialogue on Industrial Parks (hybrid) in Changchun City, China on 22 August 2023, with the theme of ‘Build New Consensus on Regional Cooperation and Create New Driving Forces for Opening Up and Development.’

The current global economic structure is witnessing significant shifts. With global industrial and supply chains undergoing reconfiguration, Northeast Asia emerges with newfound developmental opportunities. This would be an opportunity to persist in promoting high-level openness in the NEA region, fully leverage the advantages of industrial parks, actively strengthen cooperation in industrial and supply chains, inject new momentum for industrial transformation, and promote high-quality development among countries across the Greater Tumen region.

During the Policy Dialogue, participants from GTI member countries, and partner organizations discussed issues and shared insights on the following topics: 1) Build Consensus, Promote the Formation of a new Pattern of Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Cooperation in Northeast Asia; 2) Deepen Corporation, Build a New and Open Economy of Industrial Parks; 3) Open Development, Create New Driving Forces for Regional Cooperation in Northeast Asia.

As the outcome of the Policy Dialogue, a Policy Brief will be published by the GTI Secretariat.
